Our Journey

Friday 20th April 2018 - Topic Launch Day 'Jump on a Jungle Journey'
Today we  had our trip to West Midland Safari Park. What fabulous weather too. We had a great view of the large animals from the bus as we drove through the park. We were ready for lunch when we got off the bus and headed into the small animal park. We had lunch whilst watching a reptile presentation. We loved walking through the Lemur park and watching the penguins cool off in the pool.

The staff were very proud of the children they were all very sensible and stayed with the adults at all times. The visit has already inspired the children in their writing and with their observational drawings and knowledge.

Please visit the photographs section we will be adding photographs from the trip.

Friday 18th May - The Royal Wedding Celebration Day
The children and staff all dressed up for the occasion. We talked about weddings, traditions and shared past experiences. We identified photographs of the Royal family and made a family tree,  made flags, story books and  made cucumber sandwiches. Our afternoon was completed with a traditional picnic of cucumber sandwiches (on the lawn!).

The children came in on the Monday with lots of enthusiasm to write about the wedding.

Please visit the photographs section where we will be adding photographs from the day.
