Welcome back after what we hope has been a restful break; we are excited about the term ahead of us and look forward to continuing working with you and your children.
The children worked particularly hard last term and made huge strides in their learning. It is lovely to see the children confidently counting, writing numerals, writing words and simple sentence and having such inquisitive natures in their quest to extend their learning.
The children will continue to receive weekly homework on a Friday. They will all have one piece of Literacy or Numeracy homework. All children are expected to read and practise the high frequency words, by reading and writing them on a daily basis. It is imperative that all homework is completed– parents, your support in this is very much needed to work with your child to support their education. It has been fantastic to see how well supported the target sessions have been, these will continue this term with more of a focus on sentence construction and spelling alongside number work.
Children will continue to be rewarded for displaying good attitudes to learning as well as to each other. We will continue to fully embrace our school motto of 'Care to Learn and Learn to Care' along with our class charter which we developed as a class.
Please find below a broad overview of our areas of learning for the summer term, we hope that you find this information useful. Please do not hesitate to come and talk to us if you have any questions or concerns, our door is always open. We look forward to working with you this term and seeing the children flourish.
Many thanks for your continued support
