Updates

Welcome back after what was hopefully a busy but enjoyable break. It has been lovely to see how quickly the children have settled back into Nursery. This term our topic is 'Our Wonderful World' and our focus text is 'An Amazing Snowman', we will aim to link all of learning to our topic and text. We will also be learning the letter sounds and focusing on writing simple words and our names. Please read the curriculum letter below to find out more about what we will be learning.

Many thanks for your continued support

9th November 2015

We have had a busy week celebrating Bonfire Night. We have been to the hall to create dances using brightly coloured dancing wands, listened to firework music and created our own splatter paintings. We have had a big focus on recognising numerals and counting out given amounts and have been use our sound machine to practise making letters sounds and using them in our writing and mark making.

25th September 2015

We had a lovely woodland walk on Friday, we packed for our journey taking our snack and blankets with us! We searched high and low for all the bears and listened for lots of sounds of nature! We enjoyed making our biscuits and hope you enjoyed eating them! Next week we will be exploring the story of the Three Little Pigs and linking all our learning around the text.

17th September 2015

This week we have had great fun. We took a visit to Little Explorers very own theatre to watch a fantastic performance of 'Goldilocks and the Three Bears'.

Over the next week we will be focusing on mathematical vocabulary to compare size and will make predictions as to which items belong to which bear. We be making and tasting porridge, honey oat biscuits, going on a forest school  around the woods in search of Goldilocks and making missing posters to try and find Goldilocks.

We will upload some of our photographs next week.

Many thanks

Mrs James, Mrs Johnson and Miss Heir- Warren
