Thursday 21st May
Please accept my apologies, as I was going to put Friday's work on the website I noticed I hadn't put today's on!
I hope you have continued with our Physical learning objective for the week and had another go at the Beans game.
Thursday 14th May
Please continue from yesterday (see Monday 11th May for introduction)
Thursday 7th May 2020
(Please see introduction for the week on Monday 4th May)
By today your child will have created their own 'Family Tree'.
We hope they have gained more awareness of who the family members are in relation to themselves and from which branch they lead to and from. Can they tell you who is related to who? Do they know their names? Where they live? What jobs they do?
Please share any evidence you have with us on their Learning Book.
Many Thanks for your support.
Thursday 30th April
(Please see introduction for the week on Monday 27th April)
Learning Objective - Children know the importance of good health
3. Rest/Sleep and Keeping clean
Your child will have briefly shared their knowledge with you on Monday. You may find they have more awareness about hand hygiene and why they are washing their hands more frequently. Can you develop their knowledge further... do they know that sleep helps us to remember what we have been learning and helps our bodies repair our organs, muscles and fight off infections.
Activity - Talk to your child about keeping clean, brushing their teeth, and things that help them sleep (Mrs Howe always tells them they are allowed to close their eyes and count backwards from 20, or count to 100 slowly! - hope it helps!). They might like a nice bubble bath to make them relax, special teddy, calm listening music and a bedtime story. Ask them to choose the story they would like tonight, perhaps it will be 'Can't you sleep little bear' by Martin Waddell.
Many thanks for your support.
Please see Monday for afternoon focus.
You can use your jars in any way you want a few suggested ideas are below
- Put something new that you have learnt that day
-Put in something that you have enjoyed doing that day
-You could put something down that you would like to do but are unable to do at this present time- this could then create a bucket list for when things return to normal
-You could use it to write down and pop in any worries you have
- You might like to write something nice about each of your family members and then read them to each other at the end of the week
In these strange and difficult times lets think positive, happy thoughts and share in the time we have together and the hope that the future holds.
