Daily Afternoon Activities

During the week we will be focusing on Art, through the famous artist Andy Warhol – who created Pop Art (Using commercial images over and over again and famous celebrities in different colours). Over the next week we will be looking into repeated pattern art and a study of the artist himself.

We are now in our second week focussing on science! Our focus is again Chemistry and by Friday, I would like you to have an understanding of the states of matter of water and the water cycle.

Over the next two weeks we will be focusing on science!! Our focus will be Chemistry looking at  states of matter!

By Friday, I would like you to have an understanding of Solids, liquids and gases and heating and cooling.

This week we will be continuing our learning of RE. We will be linking our knowledge of the Christian and Hindu creation story to the Maya creation story.

This week, we are going to be looking at RE which does not link to our work with the Mayas. As part of our RE unit, we are going to be learning about the Creation story in relation to two different religions; Christianity and Hinduism. 

By Friday, I would like you to have an understanding of aspects of the Christian and Hindu religions and also both creation stories. I will be using online websites, videos and powerpoints to help with the learning. 

Key Vocabulary to help:

For our History journey, by Friday, I would like you to be able to describe a key event in history, specific to the Mayas. You should know when this event fits into the Maya timeline and how it impacted the way they lived.

Friday 1st May- You have been working hard again this week to finish our geography work! I would like you to explain to someone in your house what human and physical geography is and describe your favourite piece of learning this week. I have two favourites, the tasting of the hot chocolate and the map reading all the way back at the start of last week!

Tuesday 28TH April- PE with Lumiere from Beauty and the Beast

You have worked hard this week on your Geography, for this afternoon I would like you to explain to anyone in your home what human and physical geography means and then just have fun, playing a game, talking to them, anything you like!

Wednesday 22nd April- Maya Environment- You do not need to print this sheet, answer in your work books on paper by numbering your answers with the questions!

Tuesday 21st April- To keep school routine we will be doing PE this afternoon. I hope you like it!

Ancient Innovators NEW TOPIC!!

Monday 20th April- Maya Map Skills. We are starting our new topic of Ancient Innovators with the Ancient Maya civilisation. For the first two weeks we will be looking at Geography, I can’t wait!

Friday 3rd April - Science Habitat Classification Key

Thursday 2nd April - Make an animal habitat from natural items in your garden. I can't wait to see some pictures of these!
