This week we shall be learning about how music can make you feel. Click onto the link below to learn about this. Then think about your favourite song. What emotions does it convey as you listen to it? What other songs do you like and what emotions do they convey?

Week Beginning 11th January:

This week we shall be focusing on different jobs that poor Victorian children had to do. 

On Monday, I would like you to research the different jobs that poor Victorian children had to do in mines using the following links below. 

On Tuesday I would like you to find out about working in factories.

On Wednesday I would like you to find out about working as a chimney sweep.

On Thursday I would like you to find out about the jobs that street children did.

On Friday I would like you to decide which job was the worst and which was the best if you were a poor Victorian child.

We are enhancing the skills and knowledge that we acquired in Year 4, about UK cities and counties. Spend some time learning and thinking about the key information on the knowledge mat. As with the history, you might want to present some of this information as a poster, leaflet or a PowerPoint presentation?! There is a video to watch and some map work that you could carry out too! Perhaps there is a city or county that you would like to research further?

Spend some time studying our World War II 'History Knowledge Mat'. There is a lot of important vocabulary and interesting facts for you to learn and think about. We'd love for you to present some of this information in the form of a poster. You might also want to reproduce the timeline of events in a way that is more memorable to you?!

This week in History we are learning about Winston Churchill. Read this powerpoint to learn about his leadership skills. 

Top
