End of the school year reflection

Well - what a tremendous year we have had. It is hard to believe that we are now only a matter of days away from Year Six's last day at Parkside. I feel incredibly proud to have been their teacher this year and am amazed at all they have achieved - including fantastic SATs results! At the start of the year they called themselves 'The Year Six High Flyers' and they have proved their class name to be absolutely justified!

There are so many wonderful memories: Laches Wood, Parent Projects, Survival Day, Tatton Park, Spinathon at Sir Graham Balfour and Drayton Manor to mention just a few.

We have so many exciting things happening before they finally leave:

Friday 10th July 1.30pm Wizard of Oz

Monday 13th July 6.00pm Wizard of Oz

Tuesday 14th July 6.00pm Wizard of Oz

Wednesday 15th July 6.00pm Year Six Prom (and parents for the presentation)

Friday 17th July Leavers Assembly 1.30pm

It would be wrong to not congratulate and celebrate all they have achieved in their rehearsals for The Wizard of Oz - they truly are a class of talent!

I have watched each and every child in my class grow in confidence and maturity over this school year - and whilst they shall be missed very much - they are, without doubt, ready to move on to secondary school.

On behalf of myself and all of the staff at Parkside, I would like to wish them luck and happiness for the future.

Many thanks for all of your wonderful support

Mrs Farmer
