Home Learning

'Home Learning' example timetable

Sunday 29th March

Dear Wise One's,

In the last week there have been a lot of changes and life is a bit like a fairy tale right now. The biggest change has been that we are unable to learn together at school but this is the fairy tale problem that I am hoping we can work together to solve!

Whilst we are unable to learn together in school I will be teaching you in a different way but I want you to know that we will still be working together as the  amazing 'The Wise One's!'  We will still be following our class charter and the school motto 'Care to Learn and Learn to Care'.

Each day I will upload some activities for you to complete at home, remember you have some activities already and a book that you can complete any other learning in. Each Monday there will be your weekly spellings and a phonics focus linked to these spellings. Daily you will have a literacy challenge, a numeracy challenge and a curriculum challenge.  Have a go at each challenge as there will be a lot of activities based on the learning we have already completed in school but there will also be challenges to get you and your family thinking!  See the rainbow links below for the challenges! smiley

I also need you to continue to read each day... read on your own, read with your family and listen to a bedtime story! Our author for March has been Julia Donaldson and we have read some amazing stories but I am hoping you will recommend our next class author to read when we are finally back together.

Remember as a 'Wise One' we are kind to each other, we listen to others and we help each other; so please listen your parents, share with your siblings and help at home when you can. Keep in touch with your grandparents and family members by phone as this will cheer them up. It is also very important that if you ever feel worried about anything you must talk to your parents.

I am looking forward to when we are back together in school and will miss seeing you all a great deal.

Sending Love and best wishes to you all,

Mrs Dawson and Mrs Johnson
