Parkside Primary School, Parkside - Welcome to our school website! Please take the time to explore the website. Should you require a paper copy of any of the information on the website, please contact the school and a copy will be provided free of charge. The office hours are from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Home Learning

In response to school closures due to COVID-19, many curriculum resource sites have created free activities and allowed unlimited access to parents as well as teachers. Here are a few links to help you prepare for all eventualities. 

 

 

  • The Maths Factor Carol Vorderman’s website includes videos games and practise activities. At the moment the subscription is currently free.
  • Storyline Online A brilliant website that offers lots of free story books, read by celebrities from around the world. The website also gives the option to subscribe for further access and to buy the book for yourself
  • CoolMath4Kids This website has lots of fun activities all maths related from games to brain teasers. You can also select what area you would like to focus on and the difficulty level
  • Unite for Literacy This website offers many free ebooks that also come with optional narration. Mostly suited to KS1

  • Discovery Education This site provides learning about Science, technology and the world around us. This can also be accessed with a login and the use of a free trial
  • Creative Bug This website provides a wide variety of craft and art tutorials that can be accessed without charge using a free trial
  • Khan Academy This nonprofit organisation offer free learning resources for all ages
  • Tynker This is a coding and computing site that is currently giving free premium access for parents and children at home
  • Premier League Stars Football’s premier league have released free games and activities in both literacy and maths to access online
