What a brilliant start we have had to the academic year!
I am so proud of year four for coming back to school this week and settling into their new classroom and routines. We have had a fantastic day today launching our topic. The air raid siren went off in our classroom and we had to get under the tables to protect ourselves. We then made our own shelters in teams. Please take a look at our photos in our photo gallery. What a great day!
Year 4 have decided to call themselves '4 Ever Friends.'
I cannot wait to see where our adventure takes us.....

Year 4 have had a busy week getting stuck into their learning this week. They have faced some new challenges and some new routines but I am proud of them for their effort in rising to these. We have started reading our class text, 'War Horse' and the children cannot wait to read more already!
We look forward to another busy week next week full of learning and laughter!
Have yourselves a lovely weekend :-)

Congratulations Year 4 for earning 'Class of The Week' today!
We have been working extremely hard on our first piece of writing in our 'I am an author' books and the children made me feel very proud when I came to mark them! They had me hooked and I didn't want to stop reading their wonderful writing. Year 4 are definitely rising to the new challenges of a different year group and showing me what they can do!
Well done year 4 and enjoy your chocolate cake!

Thank you to all parents who attended parents evening either yesterday or today. We appreciate your support throughout the first half term and look forward to working with you for the duration of the academic year.
Year 4 have had a fabulous first half term and have worked incredibly hard. I am so proud of their achievements so far. Well done Year 4! Have a lovely, restful half term!
Please note ~ Our trip to Weston Park will be taking place on Friday 25th November 2016. Please can Year 4 come dressed as evacuees for the trip to make it more real life. We look forward to seeing how creative you can be with items from home. Please don't feel you have to go out and buy an outfit.
Thank you for your cooperation.

PARENT PROJECT - Monday 28th November 2016
You should have received a letter about our parent project for this term. Please can you send in reply slips as soon as possible.
Children will be making a WW2 tank out of cardboard. Please collect any materials you think you may need at home. School will provide some but we don't want you to be disappointed if we don't have something you need.
We look forward to seeing you on Monday 28th November!

It was an absolute pleasure taking Year Four to Weston Park today for their World War Two experience. The children enjoyed visiting a real Anderson Shelter, 1940's sitting room, making their own gas masks and taking part in an air raid! The children looked fantastic in their evacuee costumes. Thank you for the effort that has gone into them. It is really appreciated.
We hope Year Four have enjoyed the trip!
Don't forget to take a look at the pictures in the 'Photo Gallery.'
