Wednesday 1st May
Wow! What an amazing three days we have had at camp. The children have thoroughly embraced all of the activities and challenges that they have faced this week. From making a bed, completing jobs, caving, climbing, fire lighting, woodland craft, shelter building to team games! Each child has faced a personal challenge and thrived and we are so proud of each and every one. We took the school motto of 'Care to Learn and Learn to Care'and values (honest, caring, enthusiatic, confident, safe, proud, independent, unique) and demonstrated each one daily!
A huge thank you goes to Mrs Francis for ensuring all the necessary arrangements were made prior to the visit which included the bookings, coach arrangements, writing, sending, receiving all letters and collecting paperwork as needed and also to Mrs Knapper who ensured our risk assessments were in place and ready to go.
Thank you to all our parents for supporting us so that each and every child in year 4 had this amazing opportunity.
A special thank you goes to the fabulous school staff (Mrs Unwin, Mr Chesters and Mrs Morrison) for agreeing to accompany the children and making sure ( amongst many other things ) that all medicines were administered as needed; they really are our Nightingales!
Thank you also to Miss Flackett and the Year 5's who were a wonderful team to attend and enjoy the experience of Shugborough with.
Thanks also go to the wonderful, dedicated staff at Shugborough for making the visit so engaging, challenging and successful; their commitment ensured that every child felt part of the team and were confident enough to have a go at all challenges.
Finally the biggest thanks go to your amazing children who really were 'The High Flying Fours'!
To all involved you are all truly wonderful.... THANK YOU!
