Parkside Primary School, Parkside - Welcome to our school website! Please take the time to explore the website. Literacy

Over the next two weeks our literacy focus will be on The Great Kapok Tree, by Lynne Cherry. We will be learning through the VIPERS. (Vocabulary, Inference, Prediction, Explanation, Retrieval and Summarise). We will be reading to full story on Friday so don’t peek before then!

 On Friday it will be the 75th Anniversary of VE day (Victory in Europe Day), marking the end of World War Two. By Thursday we will have written a description using Fronted Adverbials to show the joy of the people in Britain on this day in 1945. An extra challenge will be to also use expanded noun phrases!
