Warm up - part 2

 

Can you write numbers 0-8 on some pieces of paper and order them from smallest to largest?

 

 

Activity 

 

Today we are going to begin looking at numbers 6,7, and 8! Can you show me 6 fingers? 7 fingers? 8 fingers?

Can you collect 10 objects? Can you count out 6 objects? 7 objects? 8 objects?

Using your number cards from the warm up can you match a correct number of objects to the correct numeral?

Grab your playdough pot from your packs and follow along to these dough disco songs. 

 

 

Can you follow along with the formation video?

 

You can draw the letters in the air, on paper with a pencil, in some flour, in some mud or form them with your play dough if you can!

 

 

Can you pick up some small objects up with a peg or your fingers using pincer grip?

 

Can you draw some zigzags? wavy lines and straight lines? Remember to hold your pencil in-between your finger and thumb (pincer grip)

Can you cut these out following your lines carefully?

 

 

Challenge 

Can you write these words in your best cursive handwriting? see, night and rain

Phonics - please see Google Classroom for today's phonics activities.

 

Please note that on Fridays we have decided to run a live phonics lesson through google meet on the class phonics pages. This will be a recap of the sounds of the week and will include some fun phonics games with Miss Miles and Mrs Jones. 

These live lessons will last 15 minutes and you will need your whiteboards and pens for this lesson.
