Today in Nursery we are doing some activities to help strengthen our fingers and muscles in our hands.
You might like to thread some wool or string through pasta tubes or toy buttons if you have some, maybe even cotton reels. Another toy to use are squeezy pegs. We like to put these around the edges of paper plates. You can even put them onto scarves or socks or ribbons, eek, or even your teddy bears ears!!!!!! Please send pictures to your child's Learning Book. Have fun!
Here are some developmental steps for you to use as a guide depending on your child's age in months:
22-36 months- Shows control in using tools (May use two hands)
30-50 months-Uses one handed tools and equipment
40-60 months-Handles tools with increasing control
