Dear Children of Parkside,
We have been writing lots of letters to your parents during the time that you have not been at school to keep them up to date but this time we would like to address our letter to you, the pupils of our school.
This lock down has been a very strange time for us all. We have had to make lots of changes and think about different ways of doing things. During the time that many of you have not been at school you have been learning at home, accessing the learning that has been put up onto the website by your teachers. It has been amazing and heart-warming to see how much effort you are putting into the work that you are emailing to your teachers, it shows that you really embrace our school motto of Care to Learn and Learn to Care in all that you do.
We have now welcomed some of the children back to school in line with what Boris Johnson instructed schools to do. The children that have come back have dealt with the changes in school so incredibly well, we are proud of each and every one of you who have got used to social distancing, learning in different ways and being taught by different teachers.
We know that the children in school are very keen to see the children at home through our Reception to Year 6 Class Zoom meetings that are being set for this week. It will be lovely to speak together as a class once again. Please make sure you and your families are aware of our ‘Zoom Rules’ by accessing the school website.
We want you to know that we and all the staff team are thinking about each and every one of you, from our youngest two year olds to our oldest eleven year olds in Year Six. We look to brighter days when we can all come together once more as our Parkside Family; a family that provides us all with strength, hope and happiness. Keep working hard, keep smiling and stay safe. No rain, no rainbows…
Mr Compton and Mrs Bell
