Dear Parent/Carer,
Welcome back after what we hope has been a restful break; we are excited about the term ahead and look forward to continuing working with you and your children.
The children worked particularly hard last term to become more independent in using and accessing the resources in the environment. They quickly adapted to school life and rose to the expectations. We are now encouraging all children to come into school in the morning independently and to take that next step.
The children will continue to receive weekly homework on a Friday. All children are expected to read and practise the high frequency words on a daily basis. It is imperative that all homework is completed– parents, your support in this is very much needed to work with your child to support their education. We would also like to invite you in on a fortnightly basis to come and work alongside your child on their next step target, more information on this will follow in the forthcoming week.
Children will continue to be rewarded for displaying good attitudes to learning as well as to each other. We will continue to fully embrace our school motto of 'Care to Learn and Learn to Care' along with our class charter which we developed as a class.
Please find below a broad overview of our areas of learning for the spring term, we hope that you find this information useful. Please do not hesitate to come and talk to us if you have any questions or concerns, our door is always open. We look forward to continuing to work alongside you this year and seeing your children flourish.
Many thanks
Mrs Bell, Mrs Howe, Mrs Insull and Mr Chesters
