Welcome back after the Christmas break. I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and that you have a happy and healthy New Year ahead of you. I must start by saying on behalf of Miss Mitchell, Miss Stockton and myself thank you all so much for the lovely Christmas presents we received at the end of the term, your kindness was overwhelming.
Thinking about last term, what a busy first term it was! The weeks flew by and each and every child has already made great strides with their learning and their achievements so far are extremely pleasing.
I am really looking forward to working with you and your children during the new term and new year. I have attached a curriculum overview below which gives you an outline of all areas of the curriculum for the coming term. We have a lot to cover as our SATs are at the end of May and will be here before we know it!
During the first couple of weeks we will be inviting parents in to see first hand two online resources that the school has purchased to support the children with their spellings and mental maths. In order for this to impact your child's learning it is important that the resource is accessed both in school and at home. We will be able to target areas of need for each individual child so that the activities completed are both challenging and purposeful. In addition we will be able to carefully track progress. I am excited to see how the children respond to this new style of online activities!
As always, thank you for your continued support.
