Today in Nursery we are reading some of our favourite stories. We will be looking at how the children handle the books and showing how we respect books and think about good reading habits such as; no tv whilst we read, no bending the books, how we turn pages, reading from left to right, and how we use the pictures to help give us information. At Nursery we always encourage the children to predict what they think the story will be about even before we read the title. We have teddies and dolls in our library at Nursery so that the children can read to them, the children love this. Please send pictures to your child's Learning Book.
Here are some development steps for you to use as a rough guide depending on your child's age in months:

30-50 months Listens to stories with increasing attention and recall- handles books carefully, reads from left to right- Can turn pages in a book-
