Wednesday 21st October

Today, we would like you to read the story 'Wanda's first day'.   Wanda needs your help to learn to rhyme, can you help her? Your task is to read the words on the sheet and match them  to their rhyming partner picture. E.g the word cat matches to the picture of a  bat.

There is no need to print this off as it can be completed verbally on screen. Please do take pictures of your child completing the task and upload them onto learning book.

Thursday 22nd October

Today Wanda has sent us a letter asking us to use our new knowledge of rhyme to finish her invisibility potion. She has a variety of ingredients to choose from however only ingredient that rhyme with 'bat' can go into the potion. Can you write down the ingredients that rhyme with bat to complete the potion?

There is no need to print this task as it can done on a piece of blank paper. Please allow your child to attempt to write these words independently and upload their work onto learning book.

Friday 23rd October

Your task today is to create your own potion. Your ingredients must rhyme with the word 'mat' and your potion must contain at least 4 ingredients.

If you are feeling confident - you could write an adjective infront of each of your ingredients- black cat

If you are a fairly confident writer- you can write the cvc words- cat, bat etc

If you are beginning to write you can try and write the initial sounds of each ingredient - b for bat, c for cat.
