W/c 30th November

Monday 30th November

We have been working towards writing a setting description of the woods. Today, we are going to have a go at writing what we can see, hear, touch and smell in the woods using our notes that we made about the woods last week. I have attached a word mat to help you with your writing.

The expectation is to write 4 sentences - 1 for each sense.

Each sentence must contain an adjective.

We are looking for phonically plausible sentences. Any cvc words should be spelt correctly as should any words that are shown on the word mat.

Examples of sentences and phonically plausible words the children may write.

I can see a fluffy owl. -       flufi

I can hear crunchy leaves. -     crunchi

I can smell a smokey fire.        smoki

I can feel rough tree trunks. -     ruff tree chrunks
