Wednesday 27th January

Today in Nursery we are going on a 'Shape Hunt' around our room. There are lots of shapes hiding when you look carefully, they are everywhere! Can you look for circles today. You might find some you can touch and pick up but there will be some up and around in high places that you just have to look at. Maybe you can cut some circles out and make a circle picture- how creative can you be?

Below are some developmental targets for you to use as a guide:

22-36-Beginning to categorise objects according to properties such as shape or size.

30-50 months: Shows interest in shape by sustained construction activity or by talking about shapes or arrangements.

40-60months-Uses familiar objects and common shapes to create and recreate patterns and build models
