Afternoon Focus - Personal and Social Development

Dreams and Goals

We shall start our afternoon with a relaxation focus, the children have requested the 'Bubble Bounce' again. Please click on this link to see the video.

Now you are nice and relaxed lie down on the floor and close your eyes ...

You are going on a journey to the future, you are on a rocket taking off and zooming through time, think about being a grown up and what job you might like to do.

Open your eyes and talk to an adult about the job you would like to do.

What sort of things do you think you need to learn to be able to do that job?

Ask family members about their work.

What did they have to learn to be able to do their job well?

Adults - this discussion may open up a discussion about the changes we have had to make at work during the pandemic, such as working from home, about roles, hygiene, feelings and hopes of returning to work.

Your child may have some dressing up outfits of different job roles or books about people who help us which would be another way of discussing this topic.

How have you been getting on with the goal you have set yourself?
