Weekly Updates

Welcome back after what was hopefully an enjoyable Easter break. Our topic this term is ' We're all going on a Summer Holiday' which we will launch with a beach day in school, a letter will be sent out later this week. Please read the curriculum letter in the 'curriculum information section to find out more about our topic and our class text. I look forward to working with  you and your child during their last term in Year One and thank you for your continued support.

The children have come back refreshed and raring to go after their Easter break. I am delighted with how well they have settled back to their learning. It has been fantastic to see how many children are gaining full or nearly full marks on their spellings and also how many children completed their Easter homework to such a high standard! Well done Year One!

The children are very excited about our trip to Llandudno this week and we now are just hoping for dry weather! We have been very busy the past weeks with phonic checks, Parkside at the Proms, extended writes and end of year assessments. I will upload some photographs of the proms and the christening that we went to at St Bertlins Church later in the week. Good luck with your visit to Year Two tomorrow, I know you will have an amazing time and that Mrs Dawson will think you are such a fab class!
